At OHIS, learning goes beyond the classroom, and this week was all about hands-on experiences, curiosity, and pure joy! Our students across all grades embarked on exciting field trips that perfectly blend education and fun, leaving everyone with unforgettable memories.
Tiny Adventurers in Action!
Our littlest learners in Kindergarten didn’t miss out on the action! Their field trip was a perfect blend of discovery and fun. They tried their hands at pizza-making, fostering early cooking skills in a playful setting. Feeding farm animals—like goats, chickens, and rabbits—brought giggles and squeals of delight.
The children also had their first lessons in road safety, emphasizing essential life skills in a fun and memorable way. Adding a creative touch, they explored art and clay, crafting pieces that reflected their boundless imaginations
A Nature-Packed Day at Singha Park
Singha Park set the stage for a magical day for our Grade 1 and 2 students. Starting at the mini zoo, they fed exotic birds and cuddly creatures, marveling at the diversity of animal life. Strolling along the serene swan lake, students soaked in the beauty of nature, and their faces lit up with wonder at every turn.
Adding an educational twist, the young explorers engaged in hands-on science experiments that made learning about nature both interactive and exciting. The park’s vast greenery inspired curiosity and outdoor play, leaving our learners beaming with newfound knowledge and joy
Creative Explorations
Grades 3 and 4 rolled into a day of culinary delight and creativity at the Pizza Café! Donning aprons, they crafted their pizzas, mastering the art of kneading dough and adding toppings with flair. The fun didn’t stop there—they dived into clay art, molding and sculpting their imaginations into reality.
The trip’s highlight? Time spent with friendly animals! From petting gentle goats to giggling at hopping rabbits and observing slow-moving tortoises, students formed heartwarming connections with their furry and scaly companions. This field trip was a perfect mix of creativity, hands-on learning, and plenty of laughter, embodying OHIS’s philosophy as a “School for Life.
Cultural Discovery
Grades 5 and 6 embarked on an enriching journey to the stunning Doi Tung, blending history, culture, and teamwork into an unforgettable day.
Grade 6 explored the Doi Tung Royal Villa, gaining insights into the inspiring contributions of the Thai Royal Family while appreciating sustainable practices. At the bustling Doi Tung Bazaar, they immersed themselves in local crafts and traditions, learning about community and sustainability.
Meanwhile, Grade 5 embraced a day of hands-on learning amidst nature. Highlights included discovering local craftsmanship, engaging in scientific experiments, and fostering teamwork through outdoor activities.
Field trips like these underscore OHIS’s commitment to offering meaningful, real-world experiences that enrich our students’ education. From shaping young minds with hands-on activities to fostering a love for the outdoors, these trips create memories that last a lifetime.
